My Yoga Journey

Yoga has been an integral part of my life for many years, starting as a personal practice. After experiencing a traumatic injury, I discovered how transformative yoga could be in healing both the body and mind. This experience ignited my passion for sharing yoga with others.

My Yoga Teacher Training in Cardiff and twinned with the renowned Ananda Ashram in Pondicherry, India, was truly life changing. It deepened my understanding of the profound spiritual, mental, and physical benefits of Yoga, shaping the foundation of my teaching approach.

Drawing from over 30 years of experience in healthcare, I teach yoga from a holistic perspective, blending modern science with traditional wisdom. My approach is personalised to meet the unique needs of each individual, helping students achieve balance and well-being.

As a dedicated member of the International Yoga Association, I stay current with the latest research and advancements in yoga. In August 2024, I completed an in-depth yoga course in India, and I continue to explore advanced practices as well as the rich history and philosophy of yoga, particularly from the Gitananda tradition.

Yoga has profoundly transformed my life, and I’m passionate about sharing its benefits with others. I believe yoga should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age or ability. I’ve had the privilege of teaching students as young as three and as wise as ninety-nine years young. I offer both group classes and personalised sessions to support the unique health and wellness needs of each student.

At the heart of my practice are values of kindness, stability, and harmony with the world around us. Helping others has always been my calling, ever since I dreamed of becoming a nurse at the age of five. Yoga has become my way of making a positive impact on others, improving their health and well-being.

I approach everything with integrity and honesty, and I deeply value friendship and loyalty. I’m a fun-loving, emotionally intuitive person who cares about health, nature, and living in balance with our beautiful, yet fragile planet. My mission is to inspire people of all ages, genders, and abilities to explore yoga and discover how it can enrich their lives, just as it has mine.

There’s nothing more rewarding than watching others grow and flourish through their practice. In my nursing career, I found joy in nurturing the development of others, and I experience that same fulfilment through teaching yoga. It brings me immense happiness to witness someone connect deeply with the benefits of their practice.
